What the app does

PitPat logs every session on its own: pace, distance, time, streaks, without a watch or a manual entry. The part that actually changes behavior is the racing. You enter a distance, the app matches you with other people walking or running somewhere else right now, and your speed moves your dot down a shared course. Finish order is real. Medals and season tallies accumulate whether you chase them or not.

Pairing, once

Setup is one-time: phone on the same room’s Bluetooth, app open, machine on, and the deck shows up by name. After that the app finds the machine on its own each session. If pairing ever drops, it is nearly always the phone’s Bluetooth cache; forgetting the device and re-adding it takes under a minute.

What a race changes

A treadmill session has no finish line, which is exactly why it is easy to quit at minute eleven. A race gives the session a shape: someone is two seconds ahead, the course has an end, and quitting means visibly pulling off the track. On the motor-set incline decks the app can also drive the climb, so the course profile arrives in your legs, not just on the screen.
